The ESART Master’s programme in Audiovisual Production is an RNCP-registered qualification, Level 7, which trains professionals over two years who are not performers, but managers and cultural mediators essential to the performing arts ecosystem.

This programme is perfectly suited to the needs of managers involved both technically and artistically in the production of an audiovisual programme, and who are seeking creative, passionate, curious, and motivated collaborators.

This programme does not offer any equivalences or transfer pathways.

This Master’s degree is professionally oriented and therefore leads directly to employment. You also have the option to enrol in the first year of the Master’s programme.

Programme Objectives

The ESART Master’s degree in Audiovisual Production (PA) is a State-recognised Level 7 qualification aimed at achieving the following objectives:

  • Master the audiovisual production process

  • Gain both a comprehensive and detailed understanding of the audiovisual production workflow

  • Oversee filming and editing while meeting deadlines and budgets, and manage relationships with service providers

  • Understand distribution channels (cinema, television, streaming) and the promotion of a production

  • Acquire solid legal and financial expertise

  • Understand regulations, contracts (copyright law, rights transfer agreements), and different professional statuses (performing arts freelancer status)

  • Develop managerial and interpersonal skills

  • Identify potential artistic, financial, or technical issues and provide creative and effective solutions

DURATION OF STUDIES:

  • 2 years for students holding a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification, and 1 year for students who have completed the first year of a Master’s programme.
  • Work-study programme available.

ENTRY LEVEL(S)

Bachelor’s degree / Licence and Bac+4

Prerequisites: The Master’s Degree in Audiovisual Production at ESART is open to holders of a Bachelor’s degree / Licence or any other Level 6 qualification and, for entry into the second year of the Master’s programme, to candidates who have validated a Master 1 or have obtained a waiver from the certifying body.

Admission is based on the review of the application file and may include an interview.

Assessment Methods: Case studies and/or tests and/or essays and/or text analyses and/or multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and/or oral assessments and/or research projects / Continuous assessment / Work-study and competency evaluation (written + oral) / Thesis defence / Professional evaluation in the company

Admission Procedures and Deadlines

Access deadlines

  • Applications for the September 2025 intake are open from 1 March to 20 September 2025.
  • Applications for the deferred January 2026 intake remain open until 18 December.

Modalities

Access to our programmes may be initiated:

  • By the employer,
  • At the employee’s initiative, with their employer’s agreement,
  • By a student or their legal guardian
  • Work-study is available from the third year onwards

Upon completion of the application form, our institution undertakes to respond within 72 hours.

If the programme requires specific prerequisites, we will propose, regardless of the funding method you are considering, a knowledge assessment and/or a positioning interview (by telephone or videoconference) and/or a review of your application file.

2ND YEAR

The PA programme in the specialisation year is organised around two (2) main axes:

AXIS 1: SPECIALISATION SUBJECTS

AXIS 2: CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Validation of skills blocks:

  • Block 1: Create and develop a digital entrepreneurship project with the support of AI

  • Block 2: Design a digital project using a UX Design approach adapted to AI

  • Block 3: Manage a digital project using agile methodology, and develop its functional specification and technical requirements

  • Block 4: Develop an e-marketing and communication strategy for a digital entrepreneurship project with the support of AI

  • Block 5: Conduct studies and write reports in competitive intelligence and business strategy
